Steam Wishlist Velocity Calculator

Enter today's wishlists and your weekly net adds. See where you'll be at launch, how a Next Fest bump changes it, and how you compare with coming-soon games we track.

How the projection works

Each week adds your current net adds, growing or shrinking by your pace change. Your Next Fest estimate is added in the week you choose, and the launch-week extra at the end.

The benchmark converts your wishlists to an estimated follower count and ranks it against the Steam follower counts of coming-soon games StoreCheck has checked.

Questions

▸How many wishlists should I have at launch?

There's no single number, but many indies aim for 7,000–10,000+ for a visible launch. Week-one sales are usually 0.10–0.15× launch wishlists.

▸What is a good weekly wishlist rate?

It depends on genre and marketing. What matters most is the trend: steady growth week to week and bigger spikes around announcements and festivals.

▸How are followers related to wishlists?

Steam followers are public; wishlists aren't. A common rough rule is about 10 wishlists per follower, which varies a lot by genre.
